Glenis has worked in various youth-serving capacities for the past 10 years. Prior positions include head social worker at an alternative school, social worker at a local high school and assistant to the mayor of New Orleans for 8 years where he administered federal grant funds to youth organizations and nonprofits that address housing, at-risk youth and mental health issues. Glenis oversees the day-to-day operation of YEP’s Reintegration, Community Based Mentoring, Afterschool and Summer Camp programs.

70 percent of YEP’s staff members are born and raised in New Orleans and the vast majority grew up in the same neighborhoods that our youth live in. Our staff members’ personal understanding of the challenges that our young people face make them uniquely qualified to provide support to YEP youth.
